Center for Hellenic Studies at Nafplion, Harvard University

The Center for Hellenic Studies at Nafplion is an intercultural research institute, situated at the Iatrou Megaron, the old town hall. It is the first facility for international programs in continental Europe.

Researchers and students can make use of the Center’s Digital Library. It is open Monday to Friday by appointment so that each person can make sure that he has a terminal at his disposal. So, contact the center through e-mail: chsnafplion@chs.harvard.edu . Some of the digital databases that can be accessed from the CHS at Nafplion are: all the libraries of the CHS of Washington and of the Harvard University, the J-STOR, the PERSEUS, the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG), the Suda On Line.

There is also a Community Outreach program called “Friends of the CHS” which is actually a lecture series. The aim is to introduce the Greek academic community and the people of Argolis to CHS’s “kosmos” of friends.

So, apart from the Resources and the Discussion series, there are Summer Programs for Harvard Students, Fellowships, Publications etc.
